St George’s Hall opened in 1854, designed by Harvey Lonsdale Elmes and completed after his death by Charles Cockerell. It’s widely regarded as one of the finest neoclassical buildings in Europe, Grade I listed, and sits in the heart of Liverpool city centre, directly opposite Lime Street Station.
The Hall houses Liverpool’s Register Office, with three ceremony rooms to choose from — the Grand Jury Room, the Sefton Room, and the Rose Room — each with its own character. Many couples also choose to have photographs taken on the Hall’s grand front steps, one of the most recognisable backdrops in the city.

I’d usually suggest 30–45 minutes to properly cover the Great Hall, the Grand Staircase, the Minton Tiled Floor, and the front steps without rushing — a little more if you’d like a few different looks or the wedding party joining for group shots.
