A Tudor-Style Hotel Built for Weddings
The Park Hotel sits on Dunnings Bridge Road in Netherton, a Tudor revival building just a short drive from Aintree Racecourse and Anfield. It’s licensed for civil ceremonies, so you can hold your vows, wedding breakfast and evening celebration all under one roof, with 62 bedrooms on site including a complimentary bridal suite included in many packages.
The hotel has two main function spaces: the Aintree Suite, which holds up to 200 guests, and the more intimate Park Suite, for up to 120. Both have been recently refurbished, and a dedicated wedding coordinator is on hand throughout planning. There’s also the Grand National Bar and an Aintree Restaurant patio, both useful spots for photos beyond the main suite.

A Venue That’s Personal to Me, Too
The Park Hotel holds a particularly personal place on this list. It’s where my own daughter got married — and I’ve photographed several other couples’ weddings here too. I know this venue not just as a photographer who’s worked the room many times, but from the other side of the camera as well, as a father watching his own daughter marry there.
That combination means I know the Aintree and Park Suites, the light at different times of day, and the best spots around the hotel for photos — and I understand, personally, how much this day matters.

Making the Most of The Park Hotel
The Tudor-style exterior makes a great arrival shot — the timbered façade photographs particularly well in the softer light of morning or early evening.
Both suites are large enough for genuinely wide group shots — useful for bigger wedding parties without anyone getting cropped out.
The Aintree Restaurant patio is a good spot for natural light portraits — a useful alternative when you want a breather from the main reception room.
